There are two levels of disclosure available when you sign up with Bettr: FICA Lite and FICA Plus. To upgrade from FICA Lite to FICA Plus, you must provide a proof of residence too Bettr.

To verify your identity you must:

  1. Scan a valid South African identity document.

  2. Take a selfie

  3. Record the liveness video

  4. Record a voice note

Supported South African identity documents:

  • Passport

  • Drivers licence

  • National green identity document

  • National smart identity card

Your identity document has to be an original document and must be valid (not expired).
